What Makes the 2026 Polestar 4 Cabin Comfortable for Every Passenger on Long Drives?

Read moreIf you’ve been eyeing the Polestar 4 coupe but needed more room for gear, groceries, or a growing family, Polestar has an answer. The 2027 Polestar 4 SUV keeps the coupe’s design and performance, then reworks the body around cargo space and everyday usability.
For shoppers in Quebec, this is the practical version of a car that already turned heads. Here’s what’s confirmed.
Polestar has released full specifications for the 2027 Polestar 4 SUV, built on the same SEA architecture as the Polestar 4 coupe. It’s manufactured in South Korea and offered with two drivetrain choices: a Dual motor all-wheel drive setup and a Rear motor setup.
The SUV’s biggest change is its rear end. A straighter roofline and a more upright tailgate increase cargo capacity and reinforce the SUV’s shape, while full-length roof rails add a 100 kg dynamic roof load capacity for gear on top.
The cabin carries the same minimalist, screen-forward layout as the coupe, with ambient lighting themes and Star Knit decor. The centre display now offers nine widget shortcuts instead of six, alongside a broader set of shortcut functions.
The lineup splits cleanly by priority: outright performance or maximum range.

The Dual motor variant is the one for drivers who want quicker acceleration and the security of all-wheel drive through a Quebec winter. The Rear motor variant trades that for the longer 630 km range, a better fit for drivers doing longer highway stretches between charges.
Both pair with a 100 kWh battery, DC fast charging up to 200 kW, and an 11 kW onboard AC charger. That DC ceiling matters most on a highway run, where a quick top-up shouldn’t cost you an extended stop.
Shoppers who want sharper handling on top of either drivetrain can add the Performance pack, which brings ZF active dampers, Brembo brakes with gold-coloured calipers, and 22-inch wheels on Pirelli P Zero tires. It’s a visual and dynamic upgrade, not a change to the range or motor figures above.
The rear seats get 2.5 cm more headroom than the coupe, a direct result of that more upright rear design. Combined with the standard panoramic glass roof stretching to the tailgate, the back seat reads as more open and less enclosed than the coupe’s cabin.
Rear visibility changes too. The SUV comes standard with a real rear window and a conventional rear-view mirror, so drivers get a direct view out the back. Those who want a wider field of view with the cargo area loaded can still add the digital rear-view mirror carried over from the coupe, offered as an option.
Cargo space is the practical payoff. The SUV offers 1,680 L of total storage across front and rear compartments: 655 L behind the rear seats measured to the roof, expanding to 1,665 L with the 60/40 rear seats folded down. That’s enough room for a grocery run, luggage for a family trip, or sports equipment stacked flat.
Inside, standard materials include a bio-attributed MicroTech surface made with recycled PET content. Buyers who want an upgrade can choose Tailored Knit upholstery or Bridge of Weir Nappa leather, both traceable, chrome-free options. An optional Harman Kardon Premium Sound system adds 12 speakers and a 1,400-watt amplifier, and Google built-in with Google Gemini handles voice assistance and navigation from the driver’s seat.
For buyers who like the idea of using the car off the daily commute, Vehicle-to-Load lets the SUV power outside equipment, and Camping mode is built around overnight use. Neither changes the drivetrain story above; they’re add-ons for weekend use, not core commuting features.
The 2027 Polestar 4 SUV brings genuine everyday flexibility to a car that was already built around performance and design. Between the two drivetrains, the redesigned cargo area, and the more open cabin, it answers the practicality question the coupe couldn’t.
